Leonardo Da Vinci in China – Beijing 2019

On the occasion of 500th death anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci, in 2019 numerous events have been organized around the world to celebrate him and ARTECARGO by Italia Cargo had the honor to transport 25 Master’s artworks, from Venice to Beijing, for the Cafa Art Museum exhibition “Leonardo and his outstanding circle”.
The 25 works, including “Tavola Lucana”, “Testa d’uomo”, “Maddalena Discinta” and “Studio per la Battaglia di Anghiari” have been transported by boat over water from the lagoon, then by truck to the airport to be boarded on a flight direct to Beijing. After the arrival, they have been carefully unpacked and installed in the Cafa Art Museum, where local authorities and Italian diplomatic representatives attended the inauguration ceremony.
